"Orange Is The New Black" Ratings Revealed By Nielsen

A whopping 6.7 million U.S. viewers tuned in for the fourth season premiere ofNetflix’s Orange Is The New Black within its first few days streaming online, Nielsen revealed Wednesday. And viewers quickly returned for more — 5.9 million watched the season’s second episode from June 17, when the season began streaming on Netflix, to June 19.
Netflix—along with subscription video services such as Hulu and Amazon—doesn’t report its ratings, though Nielsen started tracking OITNB’s viewership last year with permission from the series’ producer, Lions Gate, the Wall Street Journal reports.
